There are always great events going on at the Georgetown Public Library–lectures, book clubs, art shows, and live music.
Wired Wednesday is an ongoing series to provide tech troubleshooting and assistance each Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 PM. The library hosts the 4H Mentor Up teens that also provide assistance every week.
The 4H Mentor Up teens also present short lessons at 4:30 certain Wednesdays on different technology on a rolling calendar schedule. Check our calendar for details!
TED Talks Salon is a series of TED Talks that will be screened and be accompanied by varying materials that evoke our chosen themes.
Date and times to be announced.
The current craze for coloring helps us reclaim qualities we all had as children: enjoying color and design, happily losing track of time, and having fun. Join other adults (no kids, please) for an adult coloring meet-up, where you can color inside or outside the lines, as you like. Coloring pages and pencils will be provided, or bring your own. Free and open to the public.
The Coloring Circle meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
The GPL will also be offering board games for grown ups! Featuring fun board games that you may have seen in local stores or on popular youtube series Tabletop.
Every first and third Monday at 2 PM!
Each Thursday from 2-3 PM we have knitting on the upstairs bridge! Want to learn? We have the tools and an experienced staff member to assist you!
Every third Sunday the Georgetown Public Library offers a free music concert, from 2-4 PM. A full listing of past performers and upcoming concerts can be found on the GPL fine arts & music site.
