Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by Eric Litwin

Small Bunny’s Blue Blanket by Tatyana Feeney

Blue Chicken by Deborah Freedman

Shh! We Have a Plan by Chris Haughton

Here are some songs and/or rhymes we might do in storytime:

Song: One Little Blue Fish
One little blue fish swimming in the water, (Make a fish with your hands)
Swimming in the water, swimming in the water (Move your fish back and forth)
One little blue fish swimming in the water,
Bubble, bubble, bubble, bubble, (use your pointer fingers to draw circles leading up)
Pop! (Clap your hands)

Song: I See Blue (tune: Are You Sleeping?)
I see blue, I see blue,
All around, all around.
Quickly, can you find it,
Quickly, can you find it?
Blue, blue, blue,
Blue, blue, blue.
This song can be sung with any other color of the rainbow to find colors all around us!

Fingerplay: Two Little Bluebirds
Two little bluebirds sat on a hill,
One named Jack and one named Jill.
Fly away, Jack; fly away, Jill,
Come back, Jack; come back, Jill.

Verses: playing in the snow… fast, slow… flying in the clouds… quiet, loud

See you there!
