Reserving copies
High-demand titles can stay in circulation for many weeks. In order to receive a copy of a best seller or other popular title in a more timely way, you may place a reserve on the title and you will be notified when a copy becomes available for pickup. You can place your own reserves through the catalog by logging in with your library card number and phone number or password, or a library staff member can do it for you over the phone or in person. From the time we send a notification that a reserve item is ready for you, we will hold it for four days.

Reserve Express
If you want to be placed on reserve for each new book published by your favorite fiction author, you might try Reserve Express. Reserve Express can be set up through the catalog by logging in with your library card number and phone number or password, clicking “MY ACCOUNT” in the top right corner, and clicking on the Reserves/Requests tab. Click on “receive new books” by selected authors to see a list of available authors, and click your favorites. Note that Reserve Express is for regular print fiction materials only–not large print, audiobook, or nonfiction.
