Taylor McCarrey is a local therapist, musician, and artist who enjoys trying to find new and interesting ways of looking at the mundane. Growing up in Southern California, Taylor was immersed in diverse cultures, each contributing to a richer, deeper understanding of everyone’s connectedness in the world. Taylor views his purpose in life as one of expression, either in creating and sharing art or in helping others express their feelings and goals. Taylor currently lives and works in Round Rock with his wife and two children.

Everyday, we interact with massive pieces of art full of leading lines, beautiful curves, and textured design. Unfortunately, most of the time we only see them as a way to get from one place to another. Other drivers command our focus (rightfully so) and take our mind away from the design choices and artistry inherent in every road we traverse. My hope in this exhibit is to encourage us to take in the highways and freeways around us as intentional artistic choices, and not just traffic jams waiting to happen.
