I was away from traditional art for 40 years.  As a watercolor artist turned fabric and sewing machine store owner free time was spent creating clothing, quilts, and sewing classes.

After retiring and taking one class from Karen Eckmeier, I realized that I could combine the fabric that I love and the painting skills from the past to create non- traditional art.

Usually, I test run a subject in acrylics or watercolor to see if I want to move forward with the subject matter. The fabric art is time consuming.  Each picture is an art quilt with fabric and thread but also a painting with acrylics or watercolor.  The elegance is displaying them as traditional art under museum glass.

There are no mistakes only opportunities to be creative.
