Teen Summer Reading 2018

Teens aged 12-18 are invited to participate in the Georgetown Public Library’s “Libraries Rock” Reading Challenge during summer 2018.

It’s easy: keep track of your reading this summer and be entered to win one of four awesome grand prize baskets: Art Geek, Super Kawaii, Gamer, or Bookworm. The more you read, the more chances you’ll have to win! You’re not limited to reading only books. Graphic novels, manga, audiobooks, e-books, magazines, and newspapers count, too!

Pick up your Teen Summer Reading Challenge at the library beginning June 1, and start reading! For every hour that you read, you will earn one entry into the prize drawing of your choice. Visit the library to collect your tickets, either at teen events or from the Children’s Desk.

Read at least ten hours to earn an invite to the exclusive Teen Summer Reading finale party, IRL Fortnite, on Friday, July 27 at 7 pm.

Want to earn extra tickets? Check out the back page of the Teen Summer Reading Challenge to find out ways to earn extra XP. You can volunteer, try something new, and more to win extra tickets.

The last day to collect your reading tickets will be Wednesday, July 25. The grand prize winners will be announced on July 27, 2018 at the Teen Summer Reading Finale.
