Teen Space

Located on the first floor of the library, the Teen Space is a teens-only (at GPL, that means youth 12-18) spot for browsing, studying, playing, exploring, mingling, and just hanging out. Find the teen book collection, booths for doing homework, a Wii and Xbox, and drop-in crafts, games, and activities.

Teen Space Hours: M-F 2 pm – close and all day on weekends
Special Summer Hours: All day, every day

Teen Book Club

Teen Book Club meets one Thursday a month at 5:30 pm during the school year to celebrate books and book lovers. This is an informal book club, so you don’t have to read a specific title! Come prepared to gab about what you’re reading lately. What are you loving (or hating)?! Talk books, play games, make cool crafts, and have fun! All readers and all genres are welcome.

Open to teens ages 12-18. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Contact Teen Services Librarian Melissa Mote at (512) 819-3132 or melissa.mote@georgetown.org for more information.

Check back in August for Fall 2017 Teen Book Club dates.

Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Love the library and want to participate more? We are always looking for great volunteers to join our team. Pick up a teen volunteer application at the library’s main circulation desk. Teen Services Librarian Melissa Mote at melissa.mote@georgetown.org or 512-819-3132 for more information.
