Summer Programs July 17-21

Look at all the fun things happening at the library this week!

Kids

This week we welcome Lucas Miller on Tuesday June 20 at 10:30 am. Lucas Miller the Singing Zoologist will sing zany songs and teach us about animals. Best for ages 5+

Tickets are required.  Due to limited space, FREE tickets for each performance will be issued beginning at 9:30 am the day of the performance.  First come, first served.

Groups:  Every program is super packed so we can sadly no longer accommodate large groups such as camps, daycares, childcare facilities, or schools.

Tweens  (Ages 9-12)

Wednesday July 19 at 1:00 pm is the final tween Nature Club.  Summer is the perfect time to learn about nature. Join the messy fun as we learn about soil with the Goldwater Master Naturalists.  Ages 9-12  Registration is required.  Registration for this event begins July 12.  Stop by the Children’s desk or call the library at 512.930.3551 to sign up.

Friday July 21 at 1:00 pm have fun and show off your skills with Super Smash Brothers Brawl video game tournament on the Wii.  Ages 9-12  Registration is required.  Registration for this event begins July 14.  Stop by the Children’s desk or call the library at 512.930.3551 to sign up.  Drinks and snacks provided.

Teens (Ages 12-18)

Wednesday July 19 at 3:00 pm is Lego Robot day.  Learn to build and program a robot with Lego Mindstorms!

Friday July 21 at 3:00 is Messy Games day. Come get messy, and then wash off at the end with an epic water balloon battle.  Don’t forget to wear clothes you can get messy in.

Open to teens ages 12-18. No registration is required for teen events. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
