Location: Lobby

Sculptors with the Texas Society of Sculptors (TSOS) will offer a free demonstration of varied sculpting techniques in a come-and-go sculpture demonstration in the Library Lobby on Saturday, September 9. The event occurs just a week before the end of the group’s fifteenth annual summer sculpture show in the Library.

Artists will all work simultaneously in the Lobby throughout the 2-hour event, and attendees can move from table to table to watch them and ask questions.
Artists include:

Elizabeth Bonura creates Family Portrait Sculptures, Plaques and Christmas Ornaments all inspired by life, love, and mostly family. She specializes in ceramics, metals, and resin.

Ricky Kimball was born and raised in Southeast Texas, and gravitated toward art at an early age. Ricky sculpts both traditionally and digitally, and seeks to continue to push the digital sculpture frontier as the primary artist and CEO of Bat City Art Works, LLC. He specializes in ZBrush and 3D printing for Bronze casting.

Dar Richardson ventured into figurative sculpture decades ago, creating caricature woodcarvings. He is now sculpting in other media: cement, terra-cotta, and multi-media sculpture with stained and fused glass and mosaic. He specializes in ceramics, mixed media, foam and paper.
