Hispanic Heritage 2023
Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15-October 15.
On September 1 at 7 p.m. the Library will be hosting Arthur Murray Dance Center instructor Elena Lewis. Learn Cha-Cha and Salsa beginner moves! This class is free and open to the public, intended for adults ages 18+.
GPL World Cinema is screening East Side Sushi on September 13 at 6:30 p.m. “A Latina woman aspires to become a sushi chef while working in a Japanese restaurant.” Rated PG. Drama. 1hr 30m.
On October 1, attend Fiesta Georgetown! Fiesta Georgetown’s purpose is to celebrate the culture and heritage of the Hispanic/ Latinx community. We invite everyone to come and share in this festive celebration of music, food, art, and dance. Admission and parking is free.
