GISD Annual Student Art Exhibit

This April 4-12 exhibit in the library will include more than 300 pieces of art on display representing artists in all grades (K-12).There will be an opening reception honoring the artists and their families on Wednesday, April 5 from 5:30-7:30 pm in the library.

The second floor gallery space will showcase the high school students’ artwork, including the pieces here by Matt Ayala and Michaela Bollinger. There are more than 20 different high school-level art classes taught in the Georgetown Independent School District, including painting, ceramics, photography, digital media, drawing, and sculpture. Classes in all of those media and at many levels are taught at Georgetown High School and East View High School, with nine art teachers between the two campuses. 

The first floor lobby will showcase work done by elementary and middle school students.
