Library Director Farewell

Our director, Eric Lashley, is retiring at the end of this month. Due to COVID restrictions, a party is not feasible for celebrating him and his 20+ year tenure with the Library. We are holding a car parade for him!

On January 26 from noon to 2 p.m., everyone is invited to drive by and send him off in (socially distanced) style. The parade route will proceed westbound on 8th Street past the library (the library address is 402 West 8th Street), turning right on MLK, Jr. Street, right on 7th Street, right on Forest Street, left into the parking lot where the farmer’s market sets up on Thursdays, then follow the marked route. Well-wishers will see a canopy where Lashley will be located so everyone can drive past and wave and convey their good wishes. All attendees are asked to wear a mask and stay inside their vehicles, but may roll their windows down to say goodbye and good luck.
