The study of art traditionally included painting copies of works by great artists in order to develop technique. Join experienced painter and teacher Kim Hoerster of Artsea Studio and her advanced students for a peek into their study of watercolor technique as they considered and copied paintings by artists of the past. The exhibit also explores the challenges of mixing the varied hues and values of the color green, and will illustrate ways to protect watercolor paintings with varnish or cold wax.
