E-Books and E-Audiobooks
The library offers e-books and e-audiobooks for our resident and non-resident cardholders’ use. (Our TexShare cardholders should check with their home library for e-book access). We offer you two avenues for e-books: Overdrive/Libby, and SimplyE. Click on each below to learn how to start checking out materials from home!
New titles recently added to our e-book offerings include:
- GISD San Gabriel River Readers and Red Poppy books
- Teen titles
- New York Times Best Sellers in e-book and e-audiobook formats
- Genre fiction (cozy mysteries, fantasy, historical fiction, and more)
- Nonfiction titles including self-help, history, biography and autobiography, and more
Those new titles and thousands of others are now available through Overdrive/Libby, where library cardholders can access them.
We are grateful to the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library and other donors for their unwavering support. In this time of crisis, our Friends group very quickly made funds available so that staff could purchase hundreds of new e-book titles to serve our community who are staying home to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. Thank you to our Friends!
