The Sun City Photography Club is a talented group of amateur and professional photographers whose exhibits are very popular. They have selected varied examples of their work to place on exhibit in the library’s second-floor galleries, including the featured photo here called Sisters and Poppies by Dave Werner.

Founded in 2002 by Burton Anes, the club currently has 204 members. The group has a studio and a club library at Sun City. They take photographic field trips, sometimes involving several days’ travel, to practice their art. They organize competitions and sales of their work as well.

The Georgetown Public Library is located at 402 W. Eighth Street in Georgetown.
