Adult Summer Reading 2021

Adults are getting wild this year with summer reading! The theme is Tails and Tales, with animal-centric media to read, watch, or listen to.

Adult summer reading runs July through August. The adults will have two opportunities to pick up a kit during summer reading.

Pet bow ties and Cat Toys: register for a collar bow tie and cat teaser toy kit. This kit comes with all the items you will need to make a felt bow tie for your favorite pet, or a teaser toy for the cat in your life! Registration opens on July 6 at 6 p.m. Pick up begins July 13-19. Register here.

Bird Feeder: register for a birdfeeder giveaway. This wooden gazebo style birdfeeder is sure to bring all the birds to your yard. Check out a book on local birds and see how many you can spot. Registration opens on August 3 at 6 p.m. Pick up begins August 10-16. Register here.

Kits that are not picked up within a week will be released to the general public.

Want to read or watch something to go with our theme? Check out this list of items that includes fiction, nonfiction, and film.

Try your hand at our animal Kahoot challenge, a trivia quiz that will have you asking just how long a giraffe’s tongue is! Take it here.

Adults can stop by the Library to pick up a challenge card or go online here and fill one out. Complete the challenges and be entered to win a prize pack with Tails and Tales themed travel mug, water bottle, and reusable tote. The grand prize winner will win all of the above, as well as a Kindle Fire tablet!

Summer reading ends August 30. The winner will announced on August 31. This program is for adults ages 18+.
