Adult Summer Reading Program

Adult summer reading is here at the GPL! There are events each month, from June through August. The theme this year is ‘A Universe of Stories’. Join us for events and programs centered around space. Pick up a challenge card at the Library or register online at bit.ly/GPLASRP and be entered into a drawing for our grand prize: a Kindle Fire. We will also have water bottles, phone grips, bags, and more!

June 12 | 7 p.m.: The Farthest. Join us for a screening of the PBS documentary The Farthest. This film documents the creation of Voyager 1, which left our solar system in 2012, ushering humanity into the interstellar age.

July 10 | 6:30 p.m.: Stars and Science Austin Indoor Planetarium. An indoor planetarium featuring half hour shows about our galaxy.

August 14 | 7 p.m.: Space Jam Finale. Space…the finale partying frontier. The Library will have space crafts, a photo booth, food, and more at this end of summer, out of this world party. Grand prize winners will be announced.

Each event is free and open to the public ages 18+. For more information, call the Library at 512.930.3551 or email at library@georgetown.org.
